My very own..coupon binder!!

For my birthday, my sister sent me the best present ever (well, to me at least)....a coupon binder!!
I was trying to just use my little coupon organizer, but it was starting to get a tad bit crazy with all the coupons..and let's face it-you just can't organize enough until you have a million little pockets to separate your coupons!

And, to top it off, after getting the best deal around on pop for Zack, I got a $3 off coupon from CVS for my birthday! Yay, free stuff here I come!!

Blueberries

Monday we (finally) made it a point to go pick blueberries. Way out in the boonies. But we stopped at the first blueberry place we saw instead of where we were trying to go and saved ourselves $.75/lb. Yes, me the coupon freak had to put that in there. We brought Lexi's wagon for the kids thinking they would have fun riding in a wagon filled with toys, sippy cups and snacks. Boy were we wrong.

We ended up spending most of our blueberry-picking time carrying our little ones in addition to our bucket.

Next year, I will go earlier and kid-less. Although, in the end, Lexi had a blast picking some blueberries herself and attempting to eat the ones I picked out of my bucket as fast as I was putting them in.

Our sweaty babies were not pleased to go back into their carseats for the trip home. Little did they know...

...they would be passed out in no time!

We're back...hopefully!!

Hopefully I can keep up with this blogging deal this time...I figure I have some time to kill while Alexis is ferociously splashing in the tub. And speaking of my little cutie...I'm going to photo-bomb this post with pictures. I wanted some pics of her in the rocking chair I had as a kid..and ended up having to take them myself since she refused during our family photo shoot.

I love her laugh and that when she smiles, you can see it in her eyes. And that she will give you this over-the-top, ridiculous laugh for no reason.
And then the 'tude comes out and she pretends she's angry and hiding from the camera.
And then her sweet little self returns and offers to share her flower with me :) How could you not love this sweet little face?!

Foooooood!

The other day marked the first official day of solids. Menu: oatmeal and bananas. You better believe Alexis was a happy camper after eating big girl food. After this week's bananas, we'll be breakin out the squash!

Washing it all down with the sippy cup...of course with a little help seaming how this is all the higher she got it. Still trying to teach her it's for drinking, not chewing.

Lexi's First Christmas

Although it was bittersweet with daddy being gone, we managed to pull off a pretty exciting (and toy-filled) Christmas! We are so excited for Zack to come home and play with all the new toys!

Alexis got a taste of just how fun wrapping paper and tissue paper is...she grabbed a hold of that and yanked it in no time. Underneath, she found a very interesting box with a picture of a pink bike! Ooo what fun that will be in the spring!
We made sure to have some presents to open on Christmas morning, since almost all of our Christmases were celebrated every day but the actual day. These toys were from Great-Grandma Stutzman...and man does she love this mailbox! She could spend many hours eating envelopes and poking that cute little red bird perched at the top.

Here we are opening the wagon..with a cup holder!! No need to leave the sippy cup at home..or maybe daddy's Mt. Dew...

We had our family Christmas the weekend before Christmas just in case my sister didn't make it to her Christmas-Eve due date. Alexis got to wear her very first Christmas dress and open her very first stocking...full of toys!! She was quite pleased with all of her new goodies!

The first ponytail!

Alexis' hair on the top of her head has been pretty long for a while now, and I finally bought some soft little ponytails the other day to attempt the "fountain" look...and it worked!!

Our Lil Raiderette

My family from California visited in the fall and left behind an adorable surprise for Miss Alexis-a little Raiders cheerleading outfit! Of course we had to take pictures since daddy is not here to see it, and we all know at least one is going to end up in a picture frame. And, in my opinion, the outfit just would not be complete without a matching bow! This is my favorite! I just love her perfect little face and those big brown eyes looking up at me. And I thought daddy was going to be the sucker...

Stalker Status

Yup. It's official. I stalk my child with my camera. But hey, she doesn't seem to mind too much. Grandpa's den is Lexi's temporary room while we are visiting, and we managed to sneak some pictures on his fancy couch.
..and on the floor..looking all cute as usual.

Four Generations

We now have pictures of four generations on each side.

this was taken within the last week..Great-grandma Milton, Grandma Nisley, me and Alexis..and this was taken in september..Great-grandma Stutzman, me, Alexis and Grandpa Nisley

Happy Thanksgiving!

Even though she didn't get to eat turkey with the rest of us, we still got some pretty good smiles from miss Alexis. And plenty for pictures to send to daddy.
Proud grandparents!
Thanksgiving jammies for baby to wear so she can snuggle with mommy!!
