My stockpile...revealed! :O

So today I came up with the bright idea of putting all the jumbo packs of diapers I have stocked up under Lexi's crib..therefore clearing almost a WHOLE SHELF in our bath closet. This was some much needed space for my stockpile (which Zack {and me} will freak out if it clutters the house). So...here it is! Our shelves go past the door frame-which you can tell on the top right side-so there is another row of mouthwash on top and a row each of men's deodorant and shaving cream. The only items I already had before starting was the shaving cream, a few men's deodorant, bar soap (all leftover from deployment), 1 lotion and 1 face wash.

Off the top of my head, here's most of what's all in there:
-5 mouthwashes
-2 eyeshadows
-3 hairspray
-5 shampoo/conditioner
-12 boxes of tampons
-2 boxes kleenex
-2 body wash
-4 floss
-2 Tylenol Precise
-5 Shick razors
toothpaste, toothbrushes, hydrogen peroxide, deoderant...need I go on?

My favorite part: Off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure I only paid between $10-15 for it all!

Snack?

While I was busy paying attention to cooking dinner, someone made her way back to the boxes of cereal and decided to help herself to a snack. I had no idea what she was doing until I started hearing crunchy plastic noises coming from the laundry area.

Her, "Oh, can you see me?" look

When cooler weather looms...

...make homemade chicken stock! Let me just start by saying that I HATE canned soups (for the most part)-every time I read the sodium content on the back, I cringe. Even when I've tried some of the "low sodium" types, it seems like someone dumped half of my salt shaker into my bowl. So, in light of the weather slowly cooling down, I decided to use up the last of my carrots and celery and make a batch.

I love seeing all these colorful, fresh ingredients!

While I was getting my prep work done, Alexis got her yogurt fix for breakfast. And you better believe she checked to make sure she had gotten every last bite!

Some day, I'm going to loose all self control and eat all the meat off the chicken instead of putting it back into my stock. Falling-off-the-bone-deliciousness.

Ready to go into the freezer for a cold day that needs a little warming up with chicken noodle soup!

Thanks to my momma for all the freezer containers! I didn't even realize just how much I'd use them!

I love my mailbox.

I mean, come on-who wouldn't want to find all this in your mailbox?!

My Loves

No additional words necessary :)

Not WITH, IN!

Apparently Alexis is going through a phase of playing IN everything versus WITH things. Here is the latest thing she has discovered she can get in. I assume she got there by using her little step stool that is to the right of her toy box. However she got up there-I was not expecting to this when I walked into her room.On a side note, while I was looking at her red, swollen gums where her next top teeth are coming in, I discovered that 2 top molars snuck right in without our knowing...so I guess teeth 7 & 8 are coming in rather than the 5 & 6 that I thought!

I'ma couponing nerd.

Ok, I'm so excited about my deal today, I just have to share. CVS has become my all time favorite place to score deals on diapers. This week, they have their jumbo packs on sale for $9, and if you spend $25, you get $10 ECB! Ready for my breakdown?

9.00 Huggies
18.00 2 packs Pampers
-1.50 Pampers MFQ
-1.00 Pampers CVSQ
-3.00 $3/15 purchase CVSQ
-9.00 FREE jumbo pack Huggies (Huggies Rewards)
-------
(with tax).....$14.18 + $10 ECBs

So if you factor in the ECB...I paid $1.39/pack! :) PLUS that makes 6 packs of Pampers I've bought at CVS recently meaning that (after I call customer service) I get my 7th pack FREE!! woot!

I'm going to hold on to my $10 ECB and hope that next week the have their $18.99 deal on the boxes because I have another $3/15 coupon and a $2 Pampers box coupon...which means I could get a box for $3.99!! (and hopefully some more ECBs too!)

Target clearance...

...makes bad days (or week) just a little bit better. I was so excited to find some decorative pillows (that weren't frilly or gaudy) and took advantage of some back to school clearance too.

Here are my new pillows!

And my favorite part about them!!
I also got a little lunch bag on clearance (only $1.24!!)..which Lexi insisted on carrying around the house for the next hour. Probably should have gotten another one!

First boo-boo: check.

Lexi got her first real owie today...cruising along the end table, lost her grip, and smacked her eye on the way down :( A few tears and cuddles later, she was all better and back to create more trouble.

You can just barely see it in this picture Back to her normal goofy self :)

You're not THAT big..

Lately it seems like every picture I take makes this child look so much older..or maybe I'm in denial that her first birthday was 2 months ago already. Either way, this child is not NEARLY old enough for the new look she decided to sport around the house today. The little booger is a laundry basket thief.
And this was just icing on the cake...Thank goodness we are still many years away from this! (although when the time does come, I'll make sure to let her know the bra goes UNDER her shirt!)

Homemade Popcorn

Mmm..homemade popcorn is the best! Yummy bacon grease makes the difference ;) I opened the lid to peek while it was popping and a piece flew out, my little vacuum cleaner scooped it up, and she was hooked. She wouldn't keep her little patties out of my bowl so I had to give her her own little cup.
Arrr....get in my mouth!! (Luckily most of them fell before they hit her mouth)

Momma's Birthday Present

For my birthday, I got a telephoto lens for my camera...no more sneaking up to things that can fly away or having to get SUPER close to what I'm taking a picture of! YAY!! The other day I decided to test out my lens on our little butterfly friend that seems to frequently drinking my flowers. Ignore the weeds..and dying flowers.
