The other day marked the first official day of solids. Menu: oatmeal and bananas. You better believe Alexis was a happy camper after eating big girl food. After this week's bananas, we'll be breakin out the squash!
Washing it all down with the sippy cup...of course with a little help seaming how this is all the higher she got it. Still trying to teach her it's for drinking, not chewing.

Lexi's First Christmas
Although it was bittersweet with daddy being gone, we managed to pull off a pretty exciting (and toy-filled) Christmas! We are so excited for Zack to come home and play with all the new toys!
Alexis got a taste of just how fun wrapping paper and tissue paper is...she grabbed a hold of that and yanked it in no time. Underneath, she found a very interesting box with a picture of a pink bike! Ooo what fun that will be in the spring!
We made sure to have some presents to open on Christmas morning, since almost all of our Christmases were celebrated every day but the actual day. These toys were from Great-Grandma Stutzman...and man does she love this mailbox! She could spend many hours eating envelopes and poking that cute little red bird perched at the top.
Here we are opening the wagon..with a cup holder!! No need to leave the sippy cup at home..or maybe daddy's Mt. Dew...
We had our family Christmas the weekend before Christmas just in case my sister didn't make it to her Christmas-Eve due date. Alexis got to wear her very first Christmas dress and open her very first stocking...full of toys!! She was quite pleased with all of her new goodies!

The first ponytail!
Our Lil Raiderette
My family from California visited in the fall and left behind an adorable surprise for Miss Alexis-a little Raiders cheerleading outfit! Of course we had to take pictures since daddy is not here to see it, and we all know at least one is going to end up in a picture frame. And, in my opinion, the outfit just would not be complete without a matching bow! This is my favorite! I just love her perfect little face and those big brown eyes looking up at me. And I thought daddy was going to be the sucker...
